Located at the mouth of the legendary Jacquet River, you'll find the Village of Belledune.
On one side, you have access to warm water beaches perfect for long walks. On the other, the valleys and natural marvels protected by the Jacquet River Gorge.
Here are 5 of our favourite things to do in Belledune this summer!
The Jacquet River Salmon Conservation Barrier is part of the Jacquet River Salmon Restoration project, an initiative focused on the repopulation of the Jacquet River salmon.
The Atlantic Salmon lifecycle is a remarkable and dangerous journey from birth to the farthest reaches of the ocean.

Take the family to Roherty Point Beach for a "Fun in the sun" kind of day.
Play in the water, find sea-side treasures or simply sit and relax by the bay. Bring a lunch -- without leaving wrappers behind of course -- with picnic areas on site and access to walking trails for a change of scenery.
The Jacquet River Campground is located next to our beautiful Bay of Chaleur.
It's a 24-hour campground with 38 sites (many of them water-front), shower facilities, water & sewer hook-ups, playground for children.
It is the perfect spot to kick back for the evening on your multi-day exploration of the Jacquet River Gorge. Speaking of which…
The Jacquet River Gorge is truly a natural wonder. Located on Archibald Road, close to the Super Village Trail Blazers Snowmobiling Club, locals and tourists alike frequent it daily in the Summer.
Be mindful, however! The Jacquet River Gorge is 26,000 hectares of protected natural area: respect the ecosystem and enjoy the beautiful and rare fauna and flora it offers.
Part of the Chaleur Green Trails system, and located over a section of the Jacquet River Gorge, is this beautiful loop trail with a half-way "pit stop" at the Jacquet River Gorge Lookout.
About ~2km long, this trail is perfect for a shorter afternoon stroll; but don't let the short distance fool you! This panoramic walk is definitely worth the trip.
