Located between Beresford and Petit-Rocher is the quaint little village of Nigadoo.
Within just 2 kilometers, Nigadoo offers a wide variety of services to tourists and locals alike. Simply put, Nigadoo is the perfect place to be if you want to dial back and take it easy.
Here are 5 of our favourite things to do in Nigadoo this summer!
The Arseneau Fish Market is a true paradise for any seafood lover, and should definitely be your first stop when you're in Nigadoo.
Founded in 1962 by Julien Arseneau, it started off as a small seasonal fish market. Now, the operation runs year-round with their lobster and fishponds.
They're even able to pack up your delicious seafood in transport packages -- perfect for those long road trips!
Nigadoo is where you'll find two exceptional fine dining establishments: La Fine Grobe sur mer and Brochetterie Le Vieux Moulin.
The former offers a beautiful view on the bay and delicious gourmet French cuisine, the latter boasts an impressive authentic Greek menu with amazing seafood and their very own organic vegetable-fed lamb.
One thing's for certain however: reservations are recommended!
You might be going to Camping Haché because of it's amazing full-service RV accommodations -- with over 155 spaces -- or maybe for a few days of camping or even a quick stay in the motel...but that's not where it ends.
On top of the lodging, Camping Haché offers an impressive lineup of family-friendly activities throughout the season, including music, sandbag and washer-toss leagues, bingo, lip sync battles and even Christmas in July!
For all the photographers out there, and everyone else who just enjoys a beautiful day, the Parc du Vieux Moulin is located along the banks of the Nigadoo River.
Not only is it a great spot to relax, swim and soak in the natural beauty of the area, but you'll also have plenty of great shutterbug opportunities with the river and the intriguing remains of a beautiful 19th century mill.
Looking for a quiet place to take a break or have a coffee?
Come admire the bay of Chaleur at Nigadoo's new belvedere located at the end of rue du Moulin.
As if this wasn't already the perfect spot for a pic-nic, you can even observe the fishing boats at work as well as the beautiful shoreline thanks to the panoramic binoculars located on-site.
Heads up to all the shutterbugs: the sunrise here is absolutely breathtaking.
Of course, part of the beauty of the Chaleur region is the close proximity between each town and city. If you're looking for activities within a short distance from Nigadoo, you may want to take a look at our other Summer 2019 suggestions:
