Canada Day

This year, Canada Day is going virtual!

  July 01, 2020

BATHURST: As of now, the City of Bathurst, in partnership with Heritage Canada, are organizing online trivia with prizes to be won and a great musical surprise! Full details can be found HERE.

BERESFORD: The Town of Beresford is organizing a live ceremony on their Facebook page on July 1st at 1:00pm. After, from 1:30pm to 3:00pm, there will be a cake distribution, in your car, at Rodolphe Boudreau Center (Sportek).

Canada Day: Canada Day, also known as "Dominion Day", takes place on July 1st of each year. In 1867, this date was chosen to be the "effective date of the Confederation Act" by Queen Victoria. Today, Canadians and visitors from around the world celebrate Canadian diversity with music, joy and festivities. Don't be surprised to see people dressed in red and white and to hear the sound of fireworks in the evening.
